Bowen treatments consist of light pressure on muscle, tendons and fascia to draw attention to where patterns of tension are held. Pressure is interspersed with short pauses that allow the body to respond and integrate the effects. Gentle finger and thumb movements help free fascia and allow for proper body alignment, improved circulation and nourishment of tissues, and increased waste elimination.
Typically one to three Bowen treatments can offer significant to complete relief for less chronic conditions. More complex cases, or repeated injury or traumas may require additional sessions or regular follow up sessions every month or two.
